Welcome, let me start off by giving you a little background about myself. My name is Dwayne Snyder Jr. I’m 31 years old and a father of 3 boys. When I started working at age 15 I started at Stone Cross Construction as a grunt, I cleaned up trash, carried materials and that’s where my fire for carpentry work was lit. I spent the next 3 years learning how to work with wood, rebuilding and repairing wooden and steel hand railings, decks, porches, bathroom floors, how to hang and finish drywall, framing sheds, Florida rooms, and sheathing roofs and walls. If you could build it out of wood Greg taught me how to build it, unfortunately he moved away and that’s when I met Anthony of ACT Windows. Working for Anthony I learned how to measure and install new vinyl windows, how to measure, prep and install vinyl, cedar shake, and hardy plank (cement board) siding, entry doors and how to wrap windows and facia boards using a siding brake. And for the past 9 years I was a Supervisor/Fabricator for DJ Railcar Services and did handyman work on the side. At DJ Railcar I cleaned and repaired train cars for the West Point paper mill. Sadly the owner passed away and his children sold the company. And after 9 years of running the Richmond location the new company laid me and my fiancé off with only 3 days notice. It was at that very moment Snyder Home Improvements was “Officially” born
